Articulate 360 is the best value in Instructional Design software
Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
I create instructional training, onboarding, and Learners’ and Facilitators’ guides using Rise. I use the PowerPoint plugin to enhance presentation materials. The Storyline training is most often used for scenario-based training, DEI training, and more personal topics(soft skills, etc)
Pros
- AI Voices - these are some if the best I have found in any software
- Rapid development is super easy
- Intuitive design, so very easy to use
Cons
- I dislike how long it takes Articulate to synthesize and address user suggestions. It took way too long for Articulate to create version history options that were not cumbersome - something that should have been in version 1 of the software
- AI generated images are not great quality. Multiple heads, people sticking through objects, gibberish renderings of words in images
- Because we now create engaging learning materials we have decreased time to proficiency significantly.
- We are able to provide training on MORE skills than we ever could before which improves our Learners’ opportunities
- We used Articulate as a springboard to prove how valuable it is to invest in learning tech. This led to everyone from the CEO down being more willing to invest in tech and be open to AI tools
I often combine Rise & Storyline to create a cohesive experience, but I would like to learn more about how to include some of the other tools.
faster course creation, high-quality content, plus more variety since the AI suggests things I con’t think of. Also, the AI voices allow for more opportunities to engage Learners using sound.
Articulate is the easiest to use, the fastest to create in, and has the best help available when I hit a block or something I don’t know how to do
