Overall Satisfaction with Atera

We use atera for multiple functions. We use the remote desktop. We use it for ticketing and for patching. It is used for tracking time spent on issues and reporting of devices. We also use it to deploy software and updates to various machines and servers. There are many use cases for Atera.

Pros

  • Ticketing
  • Windows Patching
  • Time Tracking

Cons

  • PSA
  • Accuracy with reporting
  • Inclusions of functions in different tiers.
  • Cost per machine is low
  • Cost per technician allows us to grow without adding additional costs
  • Allows us to keep software costs relatively low
Atera has been good for the past several years with doing everything that we need it for. We use it weekly to patch computers. We have deployed software with it, provide remote support and so much more. It is a versatile tool for us.
It works great at most of those items but we do not use it for everything. The PSA and billing is lacking so we utilize other tools for that but the main things we need Atera for are great so we don't mind using other tools for the features that Atera does not shine in.
Atera was very similar with Syncro but a bit more user friendly. There were a few features with Syncro I really liked that Atera does not have yet like custom reporting.
