We use Confluence as our main source of documentation. We use it from creating documents that contain tables of data. We use it for creating design documentation. We use it for creating operational documentation. It has good search capabilities and it's easy to create simple to use navigation. It also has capabilities that allow you to be notified of changes to the documentation.

The primary advantages we have with Confluence over Google Drive are the search capabilities and automatic notification whenever there is a change to the document.
