Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We use Automox to Monitor and patch all of our systems (servers and workstations) . this task used to be very daunting however Automox has made these much easier even adding the ability to update 3rd part app and apply setting to selected machines within the fleet
Pros
- effective update
- seemless reporting
- easy to use
- single pane of glass interface
Cons
- reporting of machines that no longer show within active directory (if noted as requirement
- show last known patch (cumulative) in case where multiple incrementals show
- email summary reports on scheduled basis
- the cost of the tool depending on system deployed likely pays for itself in 2 months concerning time and efficiency as well as confidence that systems are patched.
- Peace of mind in system function
we started looking at the addition features to further enhance our security posture thru custom scriptlets
almost makes these apps irrelevant.
