Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

Avalara reviews all transactions processed through our software, Prophet 21, and determines taxable status. Avalara is also creating and filing monthly returns.

Pros

  • Transaction reviews.
  • Accurate returns.
  • Timely returns.

Cons

  • Support - can’t talk to anyone who isn’t overseas. Terrible connection.
  • Support - when instruction sheets are emailed, they rarely match with what’s seen on the screen.
  • Time savings, regarding preparing returns.
  • Time savings, regarding filing returns.
  • Integrated ERP software
I wasn’t involved in the actual integration.
So much of it is done behind the scenes/hands-off.

Definitely have benefitted from the Returns service. Cert Capture is still a work in progress on our part.
Was done manually previously. No experience with other products. But I had to choose something from the box above in order to proceed.
Support is less than stellar. But thankfully support is rarely needed.
