Overall Satisfaction with Basecamp

Basecamp is being used across the whole organization currently. Essentially, we were launching an expansive, complicated process to revamp our website, our interaction with website users, and need to track all the various pieces. We were also working with a number of people that didn't work inside the physical office, so needed something that would be easy to interact with wherever you are based.
  • Project Management
  • Discussions
  • To-Do Lists
  • Page Layout
  • Gantt Chart Integration
  • File Preview
  • Transparency with team
  • Quick turnaround on project pieces
  • One system
I've used Evernote in similarly collaborative projects, but it always comes up short in collaborating in more creative and innovate ways. For example, Basecamp provides access to more robust things (like Gantt charts) and more advanced project management tools, but Evernote didn't have anything of the sort. Simply to-do lists, that could be assigned. But you're never notified when changes are made like you are with Basecamp.
Basecamp is better suited, I believe, for smaller teams. We have a smaller team and it worked very well; however, I could see it becoming less useful if the users exceeded 10 or so. Perhaps we were not aware of the robustness of the entire system, but I feel that it could be limited when it comes to having more users.
