BigCommerce provides big value for small business
Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
We started using BigCommerce in 2 niches within our company. We find it very simple to use and simple to train new staff on. Most importantly, our customers really like the look and feel. To make template updates is fairly simple too so we can keep our sites feeling fresh whenever a repeat customer comes back. Updating products and categories is quite simple and adding in variations is really simple. BigCommerce University is a fantastic resource for reminding yourself of how to do things that you don't do every day. The BigCommerce Community is a great tool also to get advice and tips. Our stores integrate with eBay too, so this saves us heaps of manual work in listing products there also.

Pros
- The Big Commerce Help Desk is fantastic. It doesn't matter what time I call from Australia, the team is always helpful and courteous. And they really try to help me as best as possible.
- Integration with eBay saves me heaps of time in having to relist products.
- I love the simplicity of adding products - within a few clicks I have added a new line and its live.
- The abandoned cart feature is well worth subscribing to - it's amazing how often I get a notification saying and abandoned cart has been converted.
Cons
- Integration with Amazon - we are expanding onto Amazon AU and integration would make this a lot easier.
- We use BigCommerce as a lead generation tool for the rest of our business - its been excellent for that.
- We have been able to build multiple brands easily and cheaply.
$1 to $10 million
We only use the API's for integration with eBay and eWay - both work well and have added value to our business.
We have recently added another business to our company that has used Shopify. I find that it is quite basic and you have to keep adding apps to do some of the things that are standard with BigCommerce - like volume discounts.
