Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce

We use Big Commerce as a platform for our company website and e-commerce. We value the ease of use, ability to have multiple users which can be restricted to certain areas of use, and the timely customer support when we need help.

Pros

  • Big Commerce is quick to respond when we need to troubleshoot; their chat support is very helpful!
  • The ease of use: you do not have to understand coding to have a great website!

Cons

  • We desperately need the ability to limit coupon codes to certain customer groups. We've asked for this multiple times. Right now, if we have a coupon code out there for retail customers to use, a wholesale account can also enter it and get a discount. This has been a HUGE headache for us!
  • Big Commerce has allowed us to streamline, increase the number of orders, increase average order value, and track our data.
$500,000 to $1 million
Big Commerce has allowed us to scale up without missing a beat.
We plan to look into using an API to integrate with our company's ERP. Have not done so yet.
Shopify was cumbersome to use and limited the number of users on an account. It also did not have the robust amount of options that Big Commerce does.
Great for companies that need to have e-commerce. Not so great if you want really robust web pages.

    Hi! I'm VP of Product Management at BigCommerce, and I'm thrilled to hear BigCommerce has helped to scale your business! Also, thank you for sharing the feedback regarding the ability to target coupon codes to specific customer groups. We agree that's a great feature and in fact we are very close to releasing that capability. It will be available via a new feature which introduces coupon codes to the existing Cart Level Discounts. We're in the final stages of development and plan on making it available to all stores before this year's peak holiday selling season. Thanks again!
