Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Raiser's Edge as our constituent database, with NXT as the user-friendly interface for gift officers, prospect researchers, and administrative employees of the Institutional Advancement department. We use it to track constituent data, including contact information, gifts, actions, progress through the prospect cycle, proposals, and attachments. We also use NXT to manage events and to communicate with constituents through email.
  • Email marketing
  • Event management
  • Data tracking
  • Gift entry is not ideal in NXT; we continue to use the database for that function
  • List creation
  • Event management
  • Data integration
  • I don't have any hard data on this, but we have increased donors under NXT
We use data from NXT as part of our ongoing fundraising strategy.
  • In-Person Training
Actually, these were similar products, although I believe NXT is more user-friendly.

Yes

No

Would you buy Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT again?

Yes

As a prospect researcher, I really value the ease of pulling lists from NXT. One of my favorites is to pull a list of constituents who reside within any number of miles of a specific location. An example of this is when one of our major gift officers is traveling to visit a constituent; it is simple to see who else lives close enough to that location so that the officer can visit them on the same trip. It also comes in handy when scheduling events in another state, to pull a targeted invitation list.
