Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

I love everything about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT's functions, but it's slow, and the database view is still separate. Very cumbersome. Powerful but cumbersome.

  • It's linking with Research Point has helped us ask better prospects and that has paid for it
Was high impact. Having the tags and the next ask amounts is very effective.

It was adequate and was not lacking. Online training is the most cost-effective.
They are pretty close. DonorPerfect, you can actually access all of its functions. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is promising but is not yet delivering.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is a bit of a hog on speed and memory, so I would say it's too big for a small charity, and that may be us with 22,000 records. I had the chance to use DonorPerfect and found that much more suitable for a smaller charity. The connection with the Research Point is fantastic. I think anyone doing major gift work needs this program, though I know DonorPerfect has some of the same functions. But Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is the best. I'd like to see better reporting and workflows for donor cultivation.
