Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT as our fundraising and alumni database to keep records updated, record donations, send emails, generate mailing lists, host events, and do prospect management. We switched from our university system and streamlined all of our processes. Gift officers are easily able to use Raiser's Edge NXT both in the office and on the road. Sending emails comes at no extra cost, as opposed to using MailChimp.

Raiser's Edge NXT just came out with a screening process that tells us who should be on a prospect list, who is on a prospect list and should be giving more, who is on a list that shouldn't be, and who is on a list of someone who is an inactive fundraiser. This has helped us review our lists in our team meetings and move prospects around effectively.

I gave a rating of 8 because Blackbaud gives very good general training, but it is not specific to your organization, so it can only go so far. I've seen that every organization uses Raiser's Edge differently so what works for one organization doesn't always work for another. I would highly recommend taking as much of the training as possible because it is informative and gives you a great base knowledge of the system.
Raiser's Edge NXT integrates well with the existing products we use like Outlook Email and Double the Donation. They are both integratable and streamline the process. Double the Donation integrates right on the donation form and Outlook as a Raiser's Edge button in the email to record the action on the constituent's record.

Well suited to lead a team of gift officers and track progress through the prospect management cycle. It makes it easy to see where all donors are and project where they should be. It is not well suited for an organization that does a lot of events and charges a registration fee while also recording gifts.
