Overall Satisfaction with Blueshift

We were looking for something that would tie into the systems that we use to originate the services that we offer, directly into Blueshift for us to then trigger and send out campaigns without much manual intervention. The only setup we would need would come from the setup of the campaign itself, and then based on the criteria we were looking at we'd then select and drop them down the path that best fits them. We would use this by using the API connectivity and drive in the data we would need to pull that in.
  • API Connection
  • Campaign Management
  • Dynamic List Creation
  • Reporting.
  • Support.
  • Flow of Data.
  • Campaign automation.
  • CRM capabilities.
  • Reporting on campaigns.
  • Slowed process in getting all products in one system.
  • Improved/introduced new email streams.
  • Automation of email.
  • Introduction of new products into email.
I feel that Blueshift has a ways to go before they get near some of the upper-tier ESPs out there that drive successes and are willing to be involved in the everyday marketing strategy.

There are a lot of pieces that you have to get in addition to Blueshift.
- Form tool.
- Landing Page Tool.
- Think about taking the reporting piece outside of Blueshift.

A lot of the tools I've used in the past have done that. This to me is a great step forward if you're getting off a tool that just generates an email list for you to send to, and is looking to make it a bit more robust. If you're looking for slightly advanced automation, I don't feel Blueshift would be the correct fit.

Would you buy Blueshift again?

I think Blueshift is well suited as a CRM. It does a great job handling the customer information that you need, placing it, and displaying it in one concise place. They could do better in regards to being forthcoming with information. Documentation is weak, and depending on who you speak with on the support team, they may have different answers to the problem you're having. In my experience, there are a lot of inconsistencies in how they think about reporting, that someone who's been in marketing for the past 10-years, has to relearn and rethink how we share data for KPIs.

Using Blueshift

6 - Marketing, Engineering, Product.
1 - I am the primary power user of the application
  • Marketing automation.
  • Cross-sell product.
  • Understanding customer email journey.
  • Content House.
We're not in the mood to start this process over at this time. A lot of hard work went into it.

Evaluating Blueshift and Competitors

Yes - Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Wasn't set up right, and didn't want to really focus on moving forward with it.
  • Price
  • Product Features
Was overpromised on stuff, that we later found out Blueshift under delivered on.
I'd open it up to more vendors, consider keeping Salesforce Marketing Cloud, by restarting everything from the beginning again. Coming in, I felt all we needed was something that just needed fixing.
