Overall Satisfaction with Box

Box is currently being used as a cloud storage as well as a document management storage. Since the departure from Box Sync and now Box drive this has also helped the usage of the files being stored locally and occupying the local disk space for end users. So we leverage the application in several ways.

  • File Sharing is the main purpose
  • Cloud storage is a big benefit to IT.
OneDrive is also being used in tandem since our licensure is through Microsoft. While one is not trying to replace the other, we just utilize both for redundancy and integration purposes. They can have files moved between the two manually by the end users to ensure they're using the best platform for their needs.

Box is really good for file sharing and cloud backups. So for example if end users are utilizing a lot of files at a moderate size, they can use Box Drive to upload those and pull them off of local storage. Box Drive will also cache the file in case if you need immediate use.
