Overall Satisfaction with Box

Box was used across multiple teams and divisions as a place to store and share documents and collateral. As a team, we could keep track of document versions, ensure information was being shared across various teams and not siloed to an individual and also make sure that everyone had access to the same materials. Using Box made sure that everyone was using the most up-to-date materials on a regular basis.
  • Organizes documents.
  • Allows sharing across teams, along with security to not share when it makes sense.
  • Groups documents appropriately into folders for various teams and needs.
  • Not always very intuitive.
  • Sometime you can lose track of how you got to a certain folder.
  • Access and sharing outside of the organization is sometimes difficult.
  • Productivity improvements.
  • Ensuring accuracy of materials accessible to all.
  • Providing efficiency for storing and sharing.

Do you think Box delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Box's feature set?

Yes

Did Box live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Box go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Box again?

Yes

Box and its competitors are all quite similar in their filesharing and storing capabilities. I think the closest, most similar product would be OneDrive, which I use quite often. Google Drive provides a bit more of real-time updating and version control of documentation that I think Box could benefit from, as opposed to constantly uploading new files to replace.
Box is great for internal sharing and storing of documentation across an organization. Whether that be collateral, training materials, internal documentation, etc. Box is not as well suited for being a share space for external information. Sharing info from Box with external clients or to anyone outside the organization is often cumbersome and requires access approvals, ability to access specific links, etc. There are simpler ways to provide info out externally that you can utilize.
