Since we started using Braze last year we see big differences. Cross-channel campaigns let us talk to users in email, push, and soon in-app without heavy dev work. The live data stream plus segments update instantly, so we react fast when users drop off. Journey builder also saves time, maybe 40 % less manual sends. Overall acquisition cost down, retention and average order up around 15 %. The Analytics is quite simple, so we use it a lot. Might have more functions.
Mailchimp is fine for bulk email and some light automation, but it still centers on email; push or in-app support feels tacked on, and new segments update only after hours. Braze gives us email, push, SMS, in-app, and web all native, with data streaming in real time, so triggers fire within seconds. Canvas lets us sketch journeys instead of coding, and the platform plugs straight into our Snowflake stack. Cost per message is higher than Mailchimp, yet we save dev effort and send far better-timed campaigns, opens up 25 % and churn is down. That mix of full cross-channel reach plus real-time data made us pick Braze.
