Overall Satisfaction with Braze

I use Braze to engage a global audience with multi-channel lifecycle and retention journeys across email, push, in-app and SMS. As an avid user of Braze for many years now, it's great to have the complex capabilities that it offers to build exciting and impactful CRM solutions.

Braze enables us to deliver timely, personalised and dynamic communications to our users in a way that helps with product adoption, engagement and education.

Pros

  • Complex lifecycle journey management
  • Customer data profiles
  • Smart features (e.g. Intelligent timing, intelligent channel)
  • Data syncs and integration capabilities

Cons

  • Canvas building UI is not super user friendly
  • Surfacing analytics isn't always intuitive
  • Ability to set defaults on some screens would save a lot of repeat clicking
  • Improved user verification rate through onboarding journey
  • Increased revenue conversion through custom lifecycle comms
  • Cohesive brand messaging through brand styling and consistent comms messaging
From my experience thus far, Braze is able to deeply integrate into a variety of tools and I haven't found a use case where Braze cannot offer a solution to an integration requirement.

Integrations have been very easy to setup and developers have been able to manage and upgrade these seamlessly.
Cross-channel functionality is absolutely integral to our CRM operations and the ability to build detailed user journeys and ensure we're using the most engaging channels on a per user basis has been a great success for us as an organisation. Global control groups and control group on a per canvas basis have ensured easy uplift measurements to demonstrate CRM impact across the business.
Braze has its own strengths and weaknesses compared to Bloomreach and Hubspot. Personally I prefer Bloomreach for lifecycle journey and orchestration however I've felt integration and scaling to be more straightforward with Braze. Other platforms have been reviewed but for value for money at scale and quality of platform, Braze came out as the chosen one.

Braze is a fantastic tool if you're looking to build a large number of CRM journeys using complex canvas structures and maximising use of customer data to segment and personalise.

There are numerous tools to ensure each channel is maximising impact and engagement. Braze offers great features for testing, managing message frequency and control groups and using dynamic attributes and liquid code.

If you're looking to limit your use to single-send campaigns with no or few automations, I don't think this is the right tool. From my experience, many Braze users also use external tools for analytics rather than Braze's native analytics.
