Overall Satisfaction with Brightpearl

Generally good at answering questions and resolving issues.
Brightpearl is used to manage the majority of our business systems across the whole business. It brings together all of our sales channels - multiple e-channels and traditional sales channels. We used to use a number of different systems for CRM, sales, stock control, and financial records. Now Brightpearl does all of these in one place. It also allows us to access all of this information from any location as it is cloud based.

Pros

  • Links e-sales channels and allows easy drop-ships.
  • Pulls together lots of business functions allowing all functions to operate the same system.
  • Accessibility from anywhere.

Cons

  • More customisation of dashboards and producing graphs, KPIs and reports.
  • Cashflow forescasting.
  • CRM could be better - seems restrictive and 'clunky' to use.
  • Allowed us to operate on multiple channels more efficiently.
  • Finance department struggles with some aspects as it is not sometimes obvious how to do things. Easier to match up payments.
More encompassing, covers more areas of the business.
Well suited for buy-in and sell-on operations, especially web based businesses. Not so well suited for manufactueres or service companies. From a stock control perspective, it can only really handle complete finished products that sit on the shelf ready to be shipped. Struggles with buying in parts or materials and then assembling.
