Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack

We use BrowserStack to leverage real-world devices in our mobile testing efforts. Not having to obtain and manage several devices running multiple operating systems and versions has freed us to focus more on authoring quality tests and documentation. Having the ability to connect to a live device running a specific OS version has helped us narrow down root causes.

Pros

  • Azure integration
  • Selenium integration
  • Parallel execution

Cons

  • A dedicated desktop app would be nice
  • Easier auto-configuration for the BrowserStack Local tool
  • Comprehensive device availability
  • Comprehensive operating system availability
  • Comprehensive integration support
  • Reduced costs associated with procuring, securing and updating physical devices
  • Provided tangible proof of compatibility between major OS versions
  • Ease-of-use access across multiple teams
Just a little manual setup/troubleshooting with BrowserStack Local's tunneling.
  • Live
They've allowed us to test our Web applications on real-world devices and not hope that simply spoofing the User Agent would produce equivalent evaluation.
Our department manager ultimately decided to go with BrowserStack as they offered more real-world devices in their cloud than LambdaTest.

Do you think BrowserStack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with BrowserStack's feature set?

Yes

Did BrowserStack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of BrowserStack go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy BrowserStack again?

Yes

It's a great, cross-platform tool for testing apps and mobile Web applications, especially across multiple milestone OS versions such as Windows 10 vs. 11 and/or iOS 16 vs. 17.

It can require some tedious setup/configuration for tunnelling, though, and long sessions can consume quite of bit of memory in your browser.
