Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MX
The Cisco Meraki MX is currently being used as a security appliance across the whole organization. I am using this device to primarily manage the quality of service on the network to ensure a good experience for all users. The secondary use of the device is to ensure that traffic is secure and users are protected from external threats.
Pros
- The dashboard
- Excellent support
- Simplicity of deployment
- Quality of experience
Cons
- Quicker failover of WAN interfaces when a link fails.
- Higher firewall throughput.
- High upfront cost.
- Great support throughout the term.
The simplicity of the tool greatly reduces the time spent on administering the firewall so that they can focus more on value-add projects rather than maintenance. Very happy with the simplicity. The MX is a no brainer for SMB looking for a firewall and then the management overhead is minimal
- Cisco Meraki MR, Cisco Meraki MS and Cisco Meraki MG
Everything fits nicely into the same ecosystem. One pane of glass to manage everything. Seamless. I love being able to move back and forth from the MX to the MR, MS, MG, MT products and manage them together. This allows for simplified troubleshooting end to end rather than looking at silos
The Meraki may have slightly fewer features, but it does have all the core features and executes them with flying colors.
