Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella

Cisco Umbrella is being used across our whole organization/school district. It allows us to filter via DNS filtering websites that staff and students are accessing to make sure we are not hitting spam/phishing/malware sites.
  • Filters websites for potential bad sites.
  • Warns users of potential website issues.
  • Filters using DNS for websites that may be bad sites i.e. malware/phishing/spam.
  • Better granularity in the filtering.
  • Positive impacts on objective of web filtering our staff and students.
Cisco Umbrella has functioned wonderfully for our district. It has blocked many sites that would have overwise caused headaches for our staff and students.
Cisco Umbrella integrates with our other security products like our firewall which also does web filtering. It has often caught sites that would have not been caught by our firewall filtering.
Haven't had to use them much after the initial install. The product has worked on it own with few issues.

Umbrella is well suited to our school district situation because it can filter our staff and students both on-premises and at home. It provides filtering for both our windows desktop and our Chromebooks (via a Google Extension).
