Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

Cisco Webex Meetings is used across our entire institution to provide access to virtual online meetings and web conferences. Our user's schedule and host meetings with others inside our organization and also outside of our organization. Online meetings can be accessed by users on their desktop PCs or Macs, mobile devices, or our campus video conferencing systems.
  • Easy to Schedule
  • Video Quality
  • Integration with other conferencing solutions
  • Automatic connection of audio devices
  • Allows users to easily participate
  • Enables quick meeting scheduling
We have had to contact support a few times when trying to integrate the system with our SAML single sign-on, and each time the support agent was able to assist us appropriately. On certain occasions, our support requests had to be escalated up to a higher level of system engineers, and they were able to help us.
Cisco Webex Meetings is used across our entire institution by anyone who needs video or web conferencing. Currently, we have approximately 1,100 users who have access to schedule and host meetings. Not every user in our organization needs to use web conferences, but everyone who does need it is able to use it.
  • Canvas by Instructure
  • Cisco VC Endpoints
Integration with our Canvas LMS was easy by using a third-party platform. When we first performed this integration, their native education connector was not yet available.
We initially used Blackboard Collaborate even when we used a non-Blackboard Learning Management System. However, we loved to Cisco Webex Meetings because it also provided access to our existing video conferencing system equipped rooms across our institution. While Collaborate worked well as a stand-alone web conferencing platform, it did not enable our VC rooms to connect.
Cisco Webex Meetings are great for pre-scheduled online meetings with a known list of meeting participants. While it can be used for ad hoc meetings as well, setting up a scheduled meeting in advance seems to fit the business model and workflow better. Participants can join from anywhere in the world as long as they have Internet access.

Cisco Webex Experience

The users at our institution benefit from Cisco Webex Meetings' ability to easily schedule and launch meetings from a variety of platforms. While many use the web interface, others have installed the Microsoft Outlook plugin or use either the desktop or mobile apps. Rarely do our users complain about noise or echo, so the technology behind these features seems to be performing extremely well even under heavy load.
We have not utilized Cisco Collaboration platforms like Webex Teams widespread. However, the few users who do use platforms like Webex Teams enjoy the ability to quickly and easily launch meetings directly from that platform. In addition, a majority of our users appreciate the Microsoft Outlook integration which allows them to quickly and easily schedule Webex Meetings from their normal calendaring solution.
For the most part, Cisco Webex Meetings has been one of those set-it-and-forget-it type of products for us. Rarely do the system admins need to login to do anything other than create new user accounts. The system just works for our users, and they do not have any trouble figuring out how to schedule and host meetings.
