Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
ClickUp is my task and Project Management system. Spaces and folders allow different team members to access and address tasks, track progress, and record time. One of the major benefits is using it as a place to record ideas that require more detail and investigation and create projects as needed.
Pros
- Task tracking - the different layouts for tasks are useful when you have a diverse group of people who need alternative visual cues.
- External email from a task to allow communication with 3rd parties on an issue.
- Customisable views.
- Customisable statuses.
- Custom fields.
Cons
- Mobile app. I find the functionality limited as someone who needs a 'whole of company' view. Not being able to send emails in comments is limiting as well.
- Home page customisation.
- Automations could be more extensive and allow for custom field values to be used.
- Description in tasks could be populated using custom fields and forms.
- Improved customer satisfaction as tasks are not list in email and can be tracked.
- The ability to create a delivery team for a client and easily manage requests.
It's been a game-changer. The fact that I can capture our work, track progress and time, and assign work to team members has meant I'm more productive. In addition, capturing fledgling ideas and then brainstorming them to create a full scope of work has helped minimize unpaid scope creep.
Automations allow for tasks to be updated easily. Moving tasks between lusts and visual layout mean that problem tasks can be identified more readily. Integration with Discord notifies team members when a task needs attention. Overall there is one place to look for the status of a body of work, which saves so much time.
