Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

It is a single source of truth for timelines, resource loading, and ownership of tasks. We use ClickUp to manage various workstreams and to collaborate across departments. The ability to have comment threads and link useful information directly to a task really helps keep information where you need it, so you don't have to spend time searching chat logs or email threads for the info you need.
  • Collaboration across teams
  • Provides a centralized place to look for timeline/task info
  • No need to generate spread sheet after spreadsheet for task tracking
  • They could improve the latency between making updates and when they populate for all users.
  • It would help if they could reduce bugs when updates do not appear.
  • With so much functionality, ClickUp can be intimidating to new users. Maybe they could offer an "intro view" that has scaled-back features (like in a tutorial mode) and then slowly roll out more advanced features as time progresses.
  • It reduces the redundancy of trackers so that instead of everyone creating their own personal timelines, there is one per project shared with everyone in ClickUp.
  • It can ping directly on tasks instead of having to remind people where the convo left off on a given topic when diving back in.
I think that the organization's collaboration has improved since adopting ClickUp, but it's not the bandaid solution to poor communication.
The main benefit I've seen is everyone on the team being able to access comment history and be tagged directly in tasks. We still have not taken advantage of the automation capabilities of ClickUp.

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

I recommend ClickUp for new applications at least once a month. ClickUp is well suited for when multiple people need to be informed of task ownership, scope, dependencies, etc. It is NOT a replacement for Excel/Google Sheets in all cases (should not be used for trying to do advanced calculations and such), but it is a great replacement for trying to do workload management in a spreadsheet.
