Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use the software to connect with our customers to resolve technical issues remotely. I chose this software because it supports Linux and the price beat out the competitors. I am very happy with the product and I am glad to see constant improvements being made to the interface.
- The software is multiplatform. I have used it on Windows, Linux and it can be used from a phone as well.
- The software is now even easier to use. There is a one-time pin number the client uses to connect to the session.
- The price cannot be beat for what you get, especially if you are connecting to Linux clients.
- Some of my clients have trouble locating the download to get the program installed/running. I believe the software will be improved as later versions are released.
- The updating of the client software remotely seems to be spotty at times.
- A strange bug where the gnome taskbar is not visible during a remote session. This is when using Ubuntu based Zorin OS 12.2.
- I have been able to save money from travel costs for my technicians and expand my service area due to this amazing software.
- I can check in on frequently used computers via the anytime access installer file.
This software has the best price for small businesses starting out. I also chose them for the nice GUI Linux support, something that Team viewer did not have at the time I was shopping around. The ConnectWise has been able to grow with my business, the others were too expensive to get started commercially.
