Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use it for technical support through remote connections on an almost daily basis. It is an invaluable tool for us when our customers run into trouble with their computers, networks, or our programs.
- Easy, reliable connections
- Stable platform
- Great user interface
- The chat interface is a bit awkward -- the administrator screen pops in and out unexpectedly and sometimes covers the end user's UI
- Connectivity with Macs is sometimes hard to establish ("trust" issues)
- Data transfer is very slow. I usually use DropBox to move data between the host and the client
- End users love the fact that we can quickly and (almost) effortlessly connect to their computers
- The cost of the software for us is very reasonable compared to competing products (we have a "grandfathered" plan)
- Speed of the remote connection is fast enough to make the support person feel like they are sitting at the remote computer. No lag whatsoever!
We've used GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting, Citrix, and Teamviewer. None of them match the price, speed, reliabily, and ease of use of ConnectWise. We still use TeamViewer to connect reliably to our office computers when we are traveling, and for that purpose it is excellent.
