Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

As a managed IT services provider, we use ConnectWise Control for our remote access needs and to remotely support our clients. Primarily it's used by our service team and its features and functionality have greatly assisted us to accelerate the support of our clients. It's been a very good investment for the company.

  • The logic needed for the filters is a bit confusing. Extra use documentation would be nice.
  • The security settings under account creation is a little old and counterintuitive.
  • Support documentation seems like it could use more depth.
  • ConnectWise Control has been very helpful in assisting us with providing remote support to our clients and accessing our own servers and workstations.
  • Quick and secure access with multifactor authentication has helped us securely achieve our support goals.
  • The tie-in with our password vault, Passportal, has made it great for us to securely access our servers without having to copy/paste passwords.
We like the functionality of ConnectWise and the ability to create custom groups and packages that help with deployment of the agent on our client workstations. Overall it's a more robust and flexible solution that suits our needs.

For the most part, ConnectWise is intuitive and easy to figure out. It does require a bit of finagling, but overall is a good product and is useable for the average tech-savvy user.
ConnectWise support has done well in providing us the support we need to maintain and update our ScreenConnect server. They have remoted in when needed and made sure we had what we needed.
ConnectWise Control is good for IT support organizations that want to quickly and securely provide remote access ability to workstations. For remote access into a work PC, its doesn't have good passthrough printer support as much as programs like GoToMyPC, Splashtop or LogMeIn. Overall for an MSP it's a good solution.
