The best Foreman a Contractor can get.
Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman
We use Contractor Foreman for our estimating, bidding, client management, project management, scheduling, and job clock tools. Over time, we anticipate utilizing some of the other features it provides, but this was all we started with. We are a smaller residential contractor, completing about a dozen projects a year, from mid-sized remodels to full new custom homes. Contractor Foreman allowed us to streamline our workflow and speed up the process of getting accurate information to the field.
Pros
- Scheduling
- Estimating
- Client Management
Cons
- Complexity
- Customization - often limited
- Improved mobile functionality for scheduling and estimating
- Almost no loss of downtime in the transition and minimal training required to simply reduce the monthly cost of the software from a competitor.
- Speed of responses from customer service allowed us to quickly train and transition.
I've used Buildertrend and Conconstruct near daily for a little over 10 years. They were both pretty solid. But the price kept going up without much value being added to the software. As they grew, they didn't upgrade with the growth, so the sites became slower.
Contractor Forman has all the functionality of the others, and several other tools that they don't. There are several tools our company doesn't even use yet that look great. It's not perfect, and the learning curve due to its increased capability is a bit of a challenge. But overall, it is superior in every way that mattered to us, and more affordable.
