Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management
The entire company uses Cvent for event venue research. We can have a proposal ready for a client within hours because we go to Cvent and it has all the information that we need to provide to the client about hotels, special event venues and restaurants.
It is a time management tool for us. It helps us get in front of the client quicker with accurate and timely information. It is our "competitive edge".

Pros
- Cvent has current information on all of the new properties in the cities where clients want to meet. This is crucial information because venues are being built every day in major cities.
- The opportunity to use one system to send RFP's is very helpful to the busy meeting planner who can just look in one place to see what has been received and what is still pending.
- Comparing bids at once is a great time manager and helps to get the contract sealed quicker which is crucial when planning the event budget.
Cons
- When I recommend Cvent to my clients, many feel that the pricing is a little high in comparison to the system or way in which they currently prospect venue information.
- More webinars about Cvent services as well as issues that planners may have that Cvent can help solve.
- Opportunity to meet Cvent representatives in person to showcase what you have to offer.
- As event planners, we can research properties easier and quicker using Cvent thus allowing us to compete in the marketplace more effectively.
- Quicker responses to client inquiries helps us to deliver a faster more complete proposal by using Cvent.

Etouches has tools that help with the entire project to include, marketing, budgeting, network, etc. which is a complete solutions options for the busy planner. Cvent is somewhat limited in the many of these additional services.

Evaluating Cvent Event Management and Competitors

The ability to have updated venue information available whenever we do research for a proposal. The time it takes to look up all of the possible venues that my client could use is exhausting and time consuming. Within minutes we have that info when we use Cvent and can prepare and send a proposal in the hour it takes for researching individual properties.
I would put more focus on services that can help my event team manage their time better as it relates to preparing and sending proposals to clients and less focus on the cost of the software.
