Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use Cvent to track attendees for all of our external client events, and many of our internal events. The platform makes it easy to have all of our data in one spot, so we can use that for customer analytics.

Pros

  • Attendee Management reporting
  • Easy and intuitive options to build registration websites
  • Meeting requests forms, that can be used for approval or review process when determining meeting relevance or importance

Cons

  • Cvent could improve on their mass update actions. Many times when something needs to be updated to a group, it's done individually.
  • In a recent update, some of the standard reports that appeared in all events were whittled down to templates. This allows more customization, but also takes more time to recreate in each event.
  • Increase the ability to test the website, survey and all elements without completing registrations.

  • On Arrival check in and badging
  • Meeting request forms to gather information for review and approval.
  • We are able to track how many events within a year our customers are attending and how that relates back to increase in business.
  • We are trying to reimplement the Salesforce app, which is an additional fee - and still continue to struggle with it.
Cvent continues to keep robust reporting and provide integrations to additional platforms that can't compare. There are some elements that seem more complicated than necessary, but the overall platform provides so much opportunity for a company to centralize all event data: registration metrics, budget, sourcing, travel and air. Being able to compare event information YOY or to another event is amazing.

I think Cvent Event Management is well suited for companies that need to show the ROI on marketing effectiveness etc. It's a great way to gather attendee information and keep it all centralized. It takes events up a notch with some very nice touches on the website aesthetic and onsite technology for ease of check in with On Arrival On Demand badge printing.
