Overall Satisfaction with D&B Hoovers
Building prospect lists of companies in selected industry segments in selected geographies to be used by commercial teams for review and identification of new potential prospects. Commercial teams are the primary users, as the information is not deep enough for credit scoring or other applications in a identifying risk related setting, at least for our business.
Pros
- Extensive company listing
- Coverage of all countries
- Ability to filter
Cons
- Missing data like company revenue or number of employees
- Better granularity of industry segmentation
- Mapping of companies or visual representation geographically
- Helped us develop in many instances long lists of company prospects
- Identify related companies when searching for a specific prospect
- Keep track of companies by building smart lists and set up alerts
Zoominfo has much more rich data, longer lists of persons, and more accurate descriptions and estimation of business sizes, both in terms of revenue and personnel. However they are very focused on United States, so their coverage of other parts of the world is really limited. This is where the coverage of D&B Hoovers is much better, because it truely is a global coverage.
