Using Dovetail as a Product Manager
Overall Satisfaction with Dovetail
Dovetail is predominantly used for planning, organising and storing user interviews with customers. The main business problems Dovetail helps with is having a place where we can list all upcoming user interviews in a kanban-board style, and then manage the workflow. Dovetail also helps to analyse and summarise the key points from interviews and extract useful insights from them. This helps save time in analysing interviews and helps to get to useful insights faster
Pros
- Identifying participants in an interview and help tag them
- Summarising interviewx
- Extracting useful insights
- Managing the workflow of user interviews
Cons
- Integration with other tools such as Miro
- Improved templates and more visibility to the templates
- Improved quantitative insights from the data
- Significantly increased the frequency and total number of user interviews as the tool make it easier to extract insights
- AI summary and insight has helped us to get hidden insights that have led to building of features we did not anticipate our customers needed
- Greater collaboration between product and UX in doing user research
