Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

With a full range of asset needs, team coordination, and client communication, Dropbox allows us to manage all aspects of our document related needs from one platform>

We use Dropbox for interdepartmental document sharing, client document sharing, as a creative asset repository, and more.

Over the past ten years, we have found Dropbox to be the best solution to meet those needs and more.

Pros

  • Document Sharing
  • Cloud & local device synchronization
  • User management, including security options to limit access to file areas that are needed and no others.

Cons

  • Large file downloads can be restricted.
  • At times, initial user access email can be confusing for the person using Dropbox for the first time and it can lead the person to believe that they must set up a personal account to access this business account
  • Better way of configuring shared folder access
  • Time savings which equals improved ROI in cost and use of human capital.
  • Efficient use of communications. We have far less "calls" when using document storage and revisioning.
  • Cost per user is reasonable and better than other platforms
Dropbox is somewhat operating system agnostic. That, in and of itself, removes obstacles that potentially occur in corporate settings.

Additionally, the functionality meets the typical request from users all in one solution. Not having to move from one application to another is a huge benefit to our organization and that of our clients.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Document sharing. Folder access security, and cloud based access is well suited for managing a large number of files across multiple users.

Dropbox performs well within smaller settings but is overpowered for limited storage and sharing use. Other options are available that address those specifics when functionality is less of a concern.
