Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use Dropbox for all of our company file storage for each restaurant as well as the corporate office support team. We keep all legal, promotional, and internal documentations stored in respective folders for the respective restaurants/locations and personnel. We also have it integrated with Slack for easy file sharing and access among our communication.

Pros

  • Ease of uploading files
  • Ease of sharing files
  • Ease of downloading files

Cons

  • Removing Google editing from Dropbox - we edit a ton of Google docs and sheets in dropbox and having this go away is disappointing
  • We were able to eliminate Evernote and other programs and switch to only using Dropbox, which has been great to save money!
My company switched from Evernote to Dropbox exclusively before I joined, but my experience with Dropbox has been easy and user friendly.

Google Drive, Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued), OneDrive
Dropbox makes it very easy to store files and share across the entire organization. I like being able to use Dropbox as I use my personal computer for work, but Dropbox allows me to not have to save any work-related files to my personal hard drive. The only downside is the Google editing capability going away in March, as I exclusively use Google-based programs and being able to edit, save, and share all through Dropbox is great for me as nothing is done on my personal drive.
