Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use Dropbox as our main electronic filing system. We needed something that could sync between computers in real-time, without having a hard wired server since we often work remotely.

Pros

  • Syncs instantly
  • Easy to navigate on MacOS
  • Limited technical issues

Cons

  • It can be very confusing sharing files and folders with other users. The initial set up is fairly difficult.
  • We spend more time on billable hours than on managing files. We also have cut down on administrative time spent on cases with our files being available digitally rather than in paper format.
Google Drive was incredibly difficult to set up, which is why we decided to use Dropbox.

It's very appropriate where the employees or team members often work remotely. I think it would be harder to manage with a very large office, but it works well with our 3 employees.
