Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
In my current role, we use Dropbox as our file management system of choice for thousands of projects each year. With a large team spread out across two sites (and WFH days), Dropbox allows us all to have immediate access to our most recent files and file changes, as well as easily share specific folders of information (press photos, product notes, sneak peeks) easily and confidentially with our internal team as well as partners outside the company.
I really appreciate how easy it is to create separate folders of information with specific permissions for each folder, so I can grant or restrict access easily to files based on that individual project's needs.

Pros
- Allows me to create folders with separate levels of access, depending on who needs what information for that project.
- Easily share files and documents with partners outside our company.
- Search for specific files based on name, attributes, or content type.
Cons
- Add searchable tags to photos (or if this is an option, I as a user can't easily find it!)
- Add photographer name fields that are part of the photo data, but don't have to be part of the file name
- We're a fast-paced retail business, and I am responding to dozens of stakeholders each day on hundreds of products. Without having hard numbers, I KNOW that Dropbox has saved me time due to it's file management capabilities and search features that make it easily to quickly find the files I'm looking for.
We tried monday.com for a short time, and it worked okay as an internal communication device, but was more form over function. Whereas Dropbox looks minimal, but is very functional. We quickly dropped Monday and switched back to using Dropbox exclusively for file management. We didn't need chat features—we needed straight file sharing and management, which Dropbox provides.
