Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use Dropbox to share key documents, meeting recordings and product videos between teams at our business. It helps to store larger files, rather than trying to embed them in Notion, Slack or other tools. We can easily link to media stored there without slowing down page load speeds, etc.

Pros

  • Easily shared links
  • Easy uploading in shared files between teams
  • Easy manageable business access

Cons

  • Uploading time can be slow
  • LInk generation sometimes takes a minute longer than expected
  • It saves us money from having to pay to store larger files internally
  • Makes external sharing with partners easier - more secure than providing access to more internal platforms
Well known and widely-used with partners, so it makes it easy to integrate and onboard external partnerships. Learning curve is low, and most are already familiar with Dropbox and how to use it.

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Uploading larger files and media items to be shared among teams.
Storing and housing materials that need to be access by internal or external partners.

Less successful - collaboration. This feels easier in tools like Notion and Confluence.
