Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use Dropbox to organize the templates we use, patient health insurance information, and filled-out patient forms. This helps us all have access to shared documents while still having our own area to keep our files.

Pros

  • Folders and Subfolders.
  • Accessibility to log in.
  • Backup and archive.

Cons

  • File compression/how much storage the shared dropbox takes up.
  • More reliable access to shared files from other users.
  • Retrieving/ Deleting files should be accessible to more users.
  • Saves time coordinating documents for team use.
You do not have to explicitly share documents with certain users while using Dropbox, which can be an extra unwanted step while using Google Drive. Of course, permissions need to be granted in Dropbox—but it's one-time, not per document. Dropbox is also a lot more readable for the folders and saved spaces than Google Drive.

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

In a medical office setting, using Mac products is not always best because the software offered isn't always best for the given purpose. Our entire team uses Mac products at our different locations, and it really improves our way of storing the documents and paperwork we need for patients. It is also HIPAA compliant.
