Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

My bookkeeper and I share files and folders so we can work remotely from each other. My EA and I share files so we can each edit the same docs. We all use Dropbox for a history of docs and for online access when away from our desktops.

Pros

  • Files sharing.
  • Folder sharing.
  • History of docs.

Cons

  • When one user deletes something, it cannot be retrieved. The customer service folks had to send me links that were not accessible without their help.
  • The pages to access deleted or who deleted are not easy to access.
  • Ease of collaboration.
  • Price effective online storage.
  • Easy online access.
For all the reasons already mentioned.
For a long time, we did not prefer Dropbox as its version control was very poor compared to synced tools. However, that has been improved, and the interface is preferred by the others in my organization who use it.

Mostly it works and the pricing is pretty good. My issues come from tracking changes or deletions and reversing those if needed. There are access issues that can only be resolved with the help of customer service.
