Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use DB to store all my personal and professional documents, share documents, and control the Vault and version. My work involves extensive data and coding, so DB allows a superior version control to One Drive. DB sharing capabilities are also very helpful: I can store and link videos for consumers, documents that are posted on my website, and more. The Vault was my favorite feature, but it was discontinued.

Pros

  • Version control.
  • Vault
  • Sharing
  • Document editing.

Cons

  • Vault
  • Git complementarity.
  • Website hosting.
  • High cost.
  • Data security.
It is very easy to use.
GitHub seems to be superior in features but inferior in usability. Dropbox is much superior to OneDrive, particularly in version control and sync.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

No

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

My workplace uses OneDrive, but Dropbox is much superior in version control. The vault was also very helpful. Some of these features are in comparison with GitHub, so I may want to change them at some point.
