Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox to organize my business files so they are easily accessible for travel days. I also use Dropbox links to deliver large files to clients. The ability to preview documents has proven to be infinitely useful. Exporting files from my iOS apps has been a reassuring factor in my use and recommending of Dropbox.

Pros

  • Reliable service
  • File accessibility from multiple devices - syncing
  • Many ways to use for collaboration

Cons

  • Maybe offer a client portal?
  • More file type preview accessibility
  • Home page customization
  • Digital Products distribution
  • Client File Organization
  • Passive Income
I believe Dropbox's overall usability in great for the novice and has a low learning curve. The drag and drop files feature is one I've come to enjoy and rely on - lowering the number of clicks it takes to perform a function within the online Dropbox site as well as the desktop app.
iCloud is a good service from Apple, but I prefer Dropbox because of the clarity Dropbox has given when syncing files from your desktop. iCloud was confusing and I ended up with files on my iMac that were supposed to be iCloud only. This did not meet my expectations of freeing up memory on my main computer.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

I'd recommend Dropbox for Creative Entrepreneurs like myself. Where Dropbox shines is the near instant syncing across devices - I've tried similar services with disappointing results. Dropbox is useful for transferring large files to clients. I would find Dropbox less appropriate for client experience. I used Dropbox Paper in the past, but even then, it was a bit clunky and files were finicky . There was one exact way to upload files, and if you didn't do it that way, it would not display correctly. It was frustrating to say the least.
