Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox to effectively have access to all of my pertinent files both at home and in the office. The sync is quick. I am an attorney and having access to documents everywhere is key.

Pros

  • Syncs documents
  • Updates quickly
  • Organizes files

Cons

  • Some of the UI could be more refined
  • Share file links are clunky
  • Desktop app can be intrusive
  • No need to carry computer home every night
  • Always know where files are
  • High level of confidence in security
It's easy to use, with few exceptions
Dropbox is faster, cleaner, and more efficient than Google Drive, and it doesn't lock you in to the Google ecosystem. The only thing Google Drive has going for it is real-time collaboration on documents.

Dropbox is well suited for document management and file syncing. It's less good for constantly updating photo libraries.
