Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
I utilize Dropbox Pro in my overall workflow, allowing it to be my primary file archive in everything I do. It’s extremely easy to share documents or request files from others that either have or do not have a Dropbox account. I use Dropbox both for personal and business purposes, allowing me to flow data between contexts smoothly and efficiently without any problems or hassles. The biggest problem I found with other cloud providers that Dropbox address is a significant number in integrations with the many platforms I use. This makes it vital to my workflow.
Pros
- The integrations that Dropbox offers our second to none. They are the primary reason I chose Dropbox over the others.
- The overall is experience that Dropbox offers enables my workflow to be as efficient as possible.
- Ability to request a file from someone has been a favorite feature of mine in particular with people that are not techy. This feature makes it fool proof for those that are unsure of what to do.
Cons
- On my Mac, it would be nice to have the ability to go in to a setting for all of my locally downloaded items. I understand each file has an icon beside it, but knowing in the greater details of my entire drive would be very useful.
- I feel like I can utilize Dropbox Paper more if I could access this feature via iOS, but that is not an option. I do like the web version, but I still am mobile for a significant amount of my workflow.
- I would like more education about Dash and all its features. I understand it can bring together all of my documents or at least connecting documents, but this would be awesome If this could maybe be connected with Paper on iOS, allowing the iOS Dash app to smoothly switch between.
- I’m not sure this has a significant number attached to it, but I quite frankly placed all my most important documents and systems from my computer on Dropbox as my main backup. This is the biggest peace of mind I could ever receive.
- For what is offered with Dropbox compared to other competitors, I believe Dropbox is extremely affordable. Even if it do es look competitive on pricing, and offers an experience that is second to none.
- The amount of integrations Dropbox offers is one of the primary reasons I am on this platform. The return isn’t necessarily a number in dollar amount, but more so what systems and platforms are actually supported within this entire ecosystem.
I’ve used Google Drive since I was young with school, yet I personally had used Dropbox because it was better overall. I use Google Workspace for work with our company suite, but do not care for the file system nearly as much as I do with Dropbox. Google offers more features overall, but that is because they offer an entire work system which is different than their own Drive feature.
