Overall Satisfaction with Expensify

I use Expensify to submit expense reports to the accounting team and keep track of my budget. It's very helpful to divide expenses when multiple departments share costs as well as keep track of everything that goes into a specific project code. It's easy to submit for review and it intuitively tells me if I'm missing anything from each expense.

Pros

  • Project Codes are easy to use
  • Expenses can be shared among departments
  • Easy Receipt uploading

Cons

  • Using the app across devices can have delays
  • Sometimes the auto categorizing feature chooses the wrong budget category, and it would have been more noticeable if it was left blank
  • It has helped employees easily submit reports on time
Expensify is very user friendly and easy to understand. The location of all of the tabs and the list of expenses in each report is organized. Receipt uploading is a breeze because it can be done directly or through email. I rate it highly because I can use it on my phone easily on the go or on work trips.
Nexonia has less options and is less detailed than Expensify. Expensify is superior to keep track of multiple categories and departments. I had some issues when trying to upload receipts on Nexonia as well. The uploading time was a lot longer than necessary which made submitting multi line-item expense reports cumbersome.

Expensify is well suited for midsized companies with multiple departments that need collaboration and an accounting team that can easily address any technical issues with the app. Smaller companies would have a harder time using Expensify if someone wasn't directly assigned to manage the program to pick up on any issues.
