Overall Satisfaction with Expensify

In my company we use Expensify for most of our daily expenses that we need reimbursed. Specially during business trips, it can be challenging to keep track of every expense and the receipts, so having a simple tool to save each expense on the go with just a picture is great.

Pros

  • Automatically detect metadata
  • Easily edit any manual field

  • It has allowed me to conduct my business trips successfully
Both he android app and the website are very simple, the UI is pretty minimalist which makes it very easy lo use. That's specially good coming from a expense tracking application, where numbers and nitty details can make the UI crowded and confusing. When you are on the go, having a simple and usable tool is perfect.
I think Expensify is much better than SAP Concur in usability and image recognition. When I used concur, I had to upload the receipt only as proof, but there was no OCR in place to help me fill in. The usability overall is much better, SAP Concur is very complex, there are many mandatory fields which means I had to spend a lot of time working on the report before I could submit it.

Business trips that last several days, where several expenses need to be tracked like meals, hotel fees, taxis, etc. Just taking the picture on the go allows you to forget about storing every receipt and the extra time needed to fill in the details is minimum, because it automatically detects the price and date.
