Overall Satisfaction with Figma
Figma was introduced into our organization after InVision announced it was ending. Prior to Figma, our designers were using InVision, Adobe XD, and Sketch. I personally despised using Sketch for UX/UI projects and design systems work. It was such a pain using Sketch because I felt like the interface was clunky and not intuitive. Figma is far superior. Both Figma, and Figma Jam will be used to help our teams collaborate and work on visual, brand, and UX/UI projects.
Pros
- Design systems organization
- Component library management
- Collaborating in real-time with others
- Working with devs
- Providing pixel perfect tools
- Figma design community (I absolutely love it)
Cons
- Honoring clipping masks when playing the prototype. It's super annoying because Figma acts as if there isn't a clipping mask and adds extra padding to my screen designs when presenting.
- Process improvement, better project management, higher quality designs. Before, we were using antiquated tools and designers and devs were super frustrated that we weren't using Figma. It has helped streamlined processes in our organization and allowed us to finally use tools that the rest of the marketplace is using.
Figma is by far the best prototyping tool out there. I am such a fan of this tool.
