A must have tool for a seller
Overall Satisfaction with Gong
I use Gong as a recording and summary tool. It is extremely useful because after every meeting I get an update via email where I can see not only the recording, but also the transcript, a general overview of the meeting with bullet points that summarize my performance as a seller, allowing me to know how much I talked vs the buyer or other participants of the meeting. What I also find really helpful is the possibility of selecting a certain buffer of time in the meeting, maybe something crucial or pivotal has been mentioned during the call, and with Gong you can easily select that timeframe and sent it internally or to the prospect directly. With the AI functionality, you can also ask them to summarize what a participant said, or look for a specific part where a certain word was mentioned.
Pros
- Summary of meeting
- Timing of speakers
- Snippet to share from the conversation
Cons
- The ai component is sometime too limited compared to other AI tool
- Sometimes the summary is not detailed enough
- When I’m not owning the meeting, I don’t get the summary via email
- Time savings
- Deeper alignment with deal team
- Sales skills improvement
Sometimes the insights are not as detailed as I would like them to be. So when I ask for a specific question in the search bar, AI is not able to give me the full answer I am expecting with the accuracy or level of details. Same with summary of the meeting, sometimes there is more that is not captured.
I definitely gained insights into my customers because I can always go back and ask what has been said in a certain meeting, but it would be great to have the chance to ask for all these meetings where a customer was involved and then have AI summarizing or analyzing the conversation.
