Overall Satisfaction with Gong.io

Our entire sales team uses Gong. It allows us to record every call and pass them on to the team. This allows us to hear good calls, bad calls and learn what we could have said differently moving forward. It also helps out immensely with training new staff. Instead of hearing one perspective they now have the ability to hear the entire back and forth.
  • It allows your team to be present on a call and not have to constantly stop to look down and take notes.
  • It allows you to share the call out to clients so they can pass it on to other stakeholders who weren't able to make the initial call. This helps in that you don't need multiple calls when before you did.
  • As a sales person, you know what you missed. We have an initial discovery call followed by the demo. We can prep for the demo by listening again and know what information we missed.
  • Nothing really. There is a feature that you can read the transcript and this isn't always exact. Would be nicer if it transcribed a little more effectively.
  • Huge impact - probably unquantifiable. It allowed us to improve on our calls, close deals sooner and improve closer rates.
SalesLoft does other things in addition to call recording but after using Gong and having calls for almost two years saved on Gong, there is no reason to use SalesLoft for recordings.
I gave it a 10 although I really have no idea. I have yet to find a problem with it that I needed to call up customer support. The app crashed on me a few times but it was fixed within days. That was almost a year ago.

Anytime you are dealing with clients, it's useful. There is really no downside. Anyone who wants to learn to get better, or is a manager and wants to better manage their team should use Gong. After using it for almost two years, I can't imagine having sales calls that weren't recorded on Gong.
