Overall Satisfaction with Google Ad Manager
We use Google Ad Manager for running search ads to market & promote the products we sell at our company.
Pros
- Easy payment
- Easy ad creation
- Easy keyword selection
Cons
- Limited reporting transparency for certain ad types, particularly Performance Max campaigns
- For those accustomed to the legacy interface, the new layout (new as of mid-2024) is difficult to navigate
- The in-platform suggestions are often unhelpful or even detrimental
- Google Ads has been a major source of revenue for our company over the past decade, and obviously the Google Ad Manager platform has made running those ads possible
Among all the ad management platforms I use on a regular basis, Google Ad Manager is the most straightforward to use. However, I probably have a paid search bias, as I spend more time there than with the paid social or programmatic platforms. Even still, Google Ad Manager is functionally superior to Microsoft Ads, if only slightly.
That said, all the ad platforms fall short in providing user support, and Google is the worst, in my experience. As long as everything goes as it should, the platform is easy to use. But if issues arise with which you need support from Google, good luck.
