Google Forms for Childcare Industry
Overall Satisfaction with Google Forms
I use Google Forms for business reviews from enrolled families, enrollment interest from families, staff anonymous reviews, time-off requests, interest polls, and more! Google Forms is very versatile, and I use it whenever I need input and information from a large group of people, whether it is families or teachers.
Pros
- I love the feature that turns the form into a google sheet. It makes the information very easy to view and access.
- I like that you can choose whether or not you want to collect email addresses so that the form can be anonymous if needed.
- I really like how accessible and easy to read the charts and graphs are.
Cons
- I think that the settings tab should be in the hamburger menu in the top right corner instead of where it is in the middle of the screen. That style is a little funky and doesn't really conform to more intuitive UI design.
- Without Google Forms, I would have to gather these responses differently, taking a lot of time out of my busy schedule.
- Google Forms allows our childcare to keep a pulse on enrollment needs of families and the data gathers directly impacts keeping our center to capacity, allowing us to provide more care to more local families.
I think that the Google version of forms is easier to use for both those making the forms and those filling them in than it's Microsoft equivalent. Google's products are more widely used and understood by the public, and they function at a higher level.
