Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use GoTo Meeting for screen sharing sessions, regular meetings, and calls with the suppliers and the customers (mostly external parties). It helps us to connect with organizations that do not use Microsoft Teams or use Microsoft Teams as a group account. A GoTo meeting session can be easily and instantly set up, and there are not many basic sets up to set.

Using GoTo Meeting client requires a stable internet connection to have even a normal quality call/meeting
The chat option is limited such that it does not allow to have a private chat room within a certain meeting
Sometimes it does not work properly in older versions of the devices

Return on Investment

Having GoTo Meeting has reduced the time spent on inefficient multiple calls with the external parties
Having no possibility to have a private chat room in a meeting with external parties, the internal teams have to use a different chat application to have a separate private discussion, which consumes time
The possibility of sharing the document in real-time has reduced the inefficiency of mistakes of sharing required files after the meeting

Microsoft Teams, Webex App and Skype

Other than business and organization calls and conference applications like MS Teams, GoTo Meeting provides the possibility of having a larger number of participants and also having the option to have external parties join as well. And it allows a user to have full control over the equipment of a participant.

The GoTo Meeting client is well suited for larger meetings where the number of users is very large. And it is also well suited for having meetings and conferences with external users since the options available for external users are large. However, it requires a stable internet connection, so if you are in an area with an unstable internet connection, GoTo Meeting would not work properly.
